Any effective way to maybe slow down or decrease the growth of Nasal Polyps?

I have a really big nasa polyp in my left nostril for a long time and it pushes my septum to my right. I can hardly breathe in my nose. Most (all) of the time I use my mouth when breathing. Is there anything I can do to maybe decrease the size of the polyp? 

I already tried going to the doctor years ago but they said they can't treat me since I currently have other problem in my lungs

I have polyps as well.  They only hinder breathing a little bit, but i cannot smell.  I had polyps removed over 40 yrs ago.  So the doctor didn't want you to get them surgically removed?  If you don't mind telling me, what is the issue with the lungs?
