It all depends what symptoms you had at 4mg. Was it PMR symptoms returning, i.e. was it simply your dose "for now"?
I have tried no wine at various points - made no difference to anything!
I'm pleased to say a lot less rain here in Southern Hampshire this year, just one day this winter with just a sprinkle of snow over night which was all gone by lunchtime. Temperatures are all over the place due to the jetstream moving erratically - in double figures today 12C (53F) has not been below 6 during the day, and 3 at night for several weeks (42 - 37F). Colder in the North around Eileens part of the UK!
On occasions I might well have exceeded the 10 shots over the work day!! Maybe the reason for feeling 'high'?

I live in Italy ;-) , halfway up a mountain. I drove over to Innsbruck this morning (to send my daughter and granchildren back to the UK) in snow over the Brenner but there was none here and now it is heading for 10C.
Everyone else is complaining about a long winter and snow - they've stolen ours. The apple trees are coming out in bud a bit further south...
With a foot of snow here in Michigan, I'm visualizing Apple trees in bloom!😀
The region which has so many apple trees is amazing! By Easter there are many varieties in bloom all over the floor of the valley and people are sunbathing whilst up on the mountain, 2000m higher, they are still skiing (and sunbathing in deckchairs ). You can drive through at least 3 seasons in less than an hour.

Ref. snow - in Oregon it can be 20c down in Portland, and the other side of the Cascades in Bend could be even higher, and still have 10 feet of snow or more on Mount Hood with skiing and snowboarding all year. It's latitude is roughly level with Milan.
Since we have gotten off on weather, someone asked me recently why I still live in Michigan since I am originally from the southwest of the US with deep roots there. I answered "but I like the weather!" They looked at me like I was crazy. But our winters are beautiful, white and green, not brown, and our summers are wonderful, only rarely too hot. In addition we have a beautiful spring and fall. Yes it has sometimes been rather amazingly cold recently, especially last Sunday when it hit -23F or -31C in the wee hours, but I stayed in side, sat beside my gas fireplace, pet my dogs and gazed out at the beautiful snow: heaven. If I have to go out, it is merely the task of putting on more layers of clothes than usual.
Yes - we chose to come here because I NEED some winter. Not too enthusiastic at your temperature levels but we do normally get snow in late Novemebr/early December and then down to -20C overnight for a week or two and it really feels healthy afterwards! The rest of the winter is a bit less chilly. In summer we get a week or so of mid-30s (C of course) but the rest of the time it is a bit more moderate and we work through all four seasons - albeit spring seems to be looking for a speed record! What happened over a couple of months in the UK happens all at once here which I still find strange.
We've had a wierd winter this year - last year a local town further up the mountain had 8m of snow, this year I doubt it has had half a metre all added together but it has thawed every time and all around the white ribbons of the pistes it is sort of brown. It's pretty for a day or two after it snows but that's it this year.
Oh well - I suppose it balances out. And I still like it
I think you should work for the tourist bureau. You make it sound like the perfect place to live.
Here in the Pacific Northwest (south west of BC) our winters are primarily grey and wet. We can go to the mountains for snow which are close by and love to do that on a sunny day. The grey is the reason we like to escape to places like California, Arizona and for me Mexico.
