Hi Martin, i am sorry you are still in pain i had open surgery for my hernia i am 37 years old and i was really fit before the operation running marathons and cycling now just walking leaves me in pain,  and have been in pain ever since and now i have chronic pain everyday, i have seen two consultants who have asked for scans to be done all been declined and now i have to been sent to pain management clinic to start nerve blocking injections just been pushed from pillar to post really fed up now

I went to pain management he put me on more tablets and I had the nerve block done..STILL IN PAIN...

i have read it is short term fix i said this to the consultant and he just said yes but just want to try anything Martin

Hey Martin

What kind of hernia surgery did you have?

I had an umbilical hernia keyhole surgery with a mesh. It ruined my life for 3 years. It's all down to the mesh. They never told me the risks of it. Huge lawsuits about it in the states.

I had mine removed over a year ago and I'm close to me 100% normal again.

They usually don't need to use it, the mesh, but still ruin people's lives all the time. I hope you can get it sorted. BTW none of those pain blockers will work...
