ive only been on it a month but I can honestly say I have never been so ill. I’ve had enough and although it’s early days, I can’t cope. I’m crying most days, shaky, diaroaha, and very irritated about the least thing, feel dizzy, ears ringing constantly and have no concentration...actually no memory, just fog. It’s been a month from hell. I want off and MHT are calling in the morning. Feel stupid for giving up so quickly, but I feel like I’m in hell. I suffer with chronic depression. Be good to hear anyone else’s experience
thank you.
Hi Julia
I have been on lithium for twenty years and don't notice being on it. Initially I had the same symptoms, but they passed. Hang in there it gets better.
Lou
Hi Louise, I’m ashamed to say I stopped taking it. I couldn’t cope with the side effects. That fog in the brain was the worst bit, ear ringing, no energy, muscle ache...I couldn’t do and just stopped after the 5weeks. My doc was not happy with me as I hadn’t even got up to a therapeutic level, so gave it no chance whatsoever. I’m taking Noretriptyline now at 50mg and so far no side effects. I’m very grateful for your reply, thank you. Julia
Hi Julia
We are all different and react differently to medication. Am glad you have found something that doesn't give you the side effects. Take care Lou
Yes I agree with that Lou. Thank you for your response.
