any successful stories after taking ppi's?

is it possible for the esophagus to heal from inflammation after taking omerzapole ?

HI Yes it will heal the help of  PPI and eating a bland diet no spicey foods of coffee and pastries and chocolates etc but it takes time not an overnight miracle it's taken me monther to heal mine and right now I'm having trouble same issues after tefluxing after a meal. It's taking its time to settle down it's been weeks now

To my understanding PPI's will only help with the symptoms. In order to heal you need to make changes like eating healthy and keeping the reflux protocol like no food hours before bed  and eating smaller meals. Plus, if you have low acid and not high acid then PPI's with time could make it worse. God Bless!

Mine is pain in back after earing even plain food plus nausea and a cough.  Gaviscon burns when swallowed. Dr said maybe try ppi, will, that help burning and ache before i start tests in January?

Hi,

My Dr put me on 1x 20mg in the morning and again in the evening for about 2/3 months. Omeprazol.

He made no comment on my diet. Worked a treat. Inflammation was significantly reduced and I only take the PPI when in flares.

That said, I’ve stopped all caffeine including tea eased back on the booze. I finds vigorous exercise and tumeric tablets help a lot.

Good luck.

What's a bland diet if you have allergies to Gluten (It seems like everything is bothering my reflux lateley)? Also how long did it take to heal? My throat bothers me more than anything.
