Just wondering if any of you have had this. My teeth are very sensitive to cold air when I breathe in or take a hot or cold drink. This has been going on for some weeks now. I`m on steroids for PMR, and have been on them many times before for my COPD. I also have steroid inhalers but I`ve never had this experience before. Can it be to do with the pains in my head ? Shebob :?:
Hi Shebob
Although I haven't had quite the same experience as you, I do use Sensodyne toothpaste, and thought perhaps you could give this a try if you don't already use it - it really works for sensitive teeth.

Hi Shebob,
Yes, I also have very sensitive teeth to hold and cold since being on the steroids.
I recently had a dental check up, and was told by my dentist that this is quite a common side effect of the drugs.
I was a dental nurse (many years ago ) and seem to remember a patient that complained of the same sensitivity.
Not sure that something like Sensodyne will work, but worth a try if it's too bad !
Hope you find some relief.

Thanks so much for your replies Mrs O and Devonshire Dumpling. That`s put my mind at rest. I`d begun to think brain tumours and all sorts of frightening things ! What a blessing this forum is! Best wishes to all Shebob :o
