There are about 50 books out there on this. A handful of workbooks as well. You need to read one. Weekes talks about this alot. Yes severe anxiety can debiliate a person,GAD is horrible! The mind just keeps churning the negative. You are very fortunate in that your body is otherwise healthy many have both ailments and the anxiety disorder. They have workbook dbt which does help tame anxiety. They have cbt but you have to be calm to really utilize that so im not a bupig fan of it unless you use meds and are all calm. Dbt in the past was big with bioolar but it is very useful woth anxiety disorders. Online they even give courses. The web is a great tool if you use it to heal and helo yourself but a horrid scary one if you decieded to jump on healthy anxiety to mask your real anxiety,
im going to tell you jelly legs still walk. Not easy but they do.and love broken crayins still color. This disorder is evil at best but inside you your still there so dont giveup. Many times after you oearn the needed skills and have self calming skills you can mange this. There will always be a few times it runs theu you and just iniw it oasses. But if you do nithing, learn nothing and think its going to just go away it can get worse. If you can find a counsellor tomworj with ir a therapist that wiuld be very heloful, and in the meantime get yourself online and look at all the anxiety disorder books and workbooks out there. Pinterest is great as well. 25% of the globe has some kind of anxiety related disorder. You are not alone in this at all.
Sorry about the typos..check your messages. I give you some ideas and such to get you started.
Your symptoms are very common with anxiety. I have had them all and so havemillions of other people. So you are definitely not alone. Have you had any tests done by your doctor? I always suggest that first just to get things checked out. If everything comes out normal then it's time to work on your anxiety. What happens is when you are anxious your brain goes into what is called fight or flight mode. Your brain wants to protect you from any danger so it sends out a hormone that causes your heart to race so that you get more oxygen. When there's actually no real danger, all that energy the brain has produced has to go somewhere so it comes out is the symptoms you are experiencing. The other thing that happens is when you have those symptoms, you get more anxious which causes more hormone to be released. It's a vicious circle. One thing that has really helped me with that is listening to a meditative audio that explains it in what to do about it. All the meditative audios are found on YouTube. Here are some I suggest:
if you're in the middle of a panic attack,do a search on YouTube for " emergency help for panic attack"
IF YOU want to learn about how to manage the symptoms, search for "anxiety attacks cure โ self help anxiety treatment". Listen to this one carefully .
another audio you can listen to when you're having anxiety is called meditation for clearing subconscious negativity . It's very soothing and relaxing. I really enjoy it! These meditations help me sleep way better
also you can search for guided meditation for detachment from overthinking.
there are many to choose from just listen to them and choose the ones you like. I listen to them a couple times a day. Just lie down, put in some earbuds, get comfortable and listen. They are very very helpful! They really calm me down a lot .
I have had the balance problem, Racing heart, weak legs so I know exactly what you're talking about. But I have learned how to make it go away and it's all a matter of the way you are thinking.
have you ever considered speaking with a counselor about this? They see this on a daily basis and have the tools to help you! I keep going even when I start to feel better. This is often hard to overcome on our own and it really helps to speak with someone else who can help. If you choose to find a counselor, look for one who specializes in stress and anxiety.
if you're ever able to, pick up a copy of the book called mindfulness meditation .
it's excellent and it shows you how to separate negativity and negative thinking from yourself in order to lessen your anxiety.
you can do this! Remember FEAR stands for false evidence appearing real. Sometimes when people have symptoms they think the worst and that is what is the fear part. That just increases the anxiety and the symptoms. This is where a counselor could really help you.
Remember to get exercise because that releases good hormones from the brain to calm you down, eat healthy, stay active so you don't think too much, Stay social,
You can do this! ๐๐ธ๐ป
Thank you for the comment! i really appreciate it really helped me get some ideas what i can do thank you.. these symptoms every day im sick of it im 7 months with this now like some days are better than others others i cant even relax myself or think positive or even smile but why does my heart race when i stand up or my pulse increase when i stand up it gives me so much anxiety about it im dizzy off balance all the time weak legs it sucks and i hope you are feeling good! Yes honey we all feel like this. You are not alone and it's going to get better! ๐ I do take meds, that is a personal choice though. Meditation for anxiety from youtube saves my mornings. Honestly research and learn the tips and tools. You are going to be fine! Sending hugs and prayers and positivity your way ๐ธ๐ธ๐ธ
HI
I'm exactly the same have horrendous anxiety dizziness ect. I've tried different ssris and currently trying something else.
I know it is scarey that the meds can make you have side effects but I try look at it this way. The way we have to live now isn't right we deserve to have a normal lifes. So it's worth it to atleast try medication. Plus my bad side effects I got only lasted a couple days and then I try something else.
I'm still struggling like yourself . I have a ruffling holiday booked and can't ever see myself being able to go .
X
Hi what medication are you taking for yours ? Are you findingoing it helpful x
Yes Lilly, you CAN get your life back! If I can do it so can anyone else. You are in control, not the anxiety. It may seem like it's in control but it does not have to be.
while you're working on this, try to be patient and don't get too frustrated because in the beginning you may have some really good days and then you may have a not so good day. That's perfectly fine. It takes a little time for the adjustment. The good thing is that if you do have an off day, you have some tools to get you right back on track! Be relentless with this! Remember, you are in control of your own mind. When you feel fear, dig in with both feet and keep going!
Just make sure you listen to the audio on YouTube called "anxiety attacks cure โ self help anxiety treatment". Listen to this one carefully . It tells you what to do when you have symptoms. Many people try to fight them off or ignore them but that just increases anxiety. This approach has really helped me a lot. Also listen to the other audios I listed that deal with stress and anxietyโฆ they guide you and really calm you down.
Thank you ๐ธ๐ธ๐ธ i just hate the racing pulse upon standing i never understand why it happens and what medication are you on? I was given zoloft but im scared to try it but you are right..
Thank you for the reply! What medications are you on? I was given zoloft and im scared to try it but you are right.. rather see what they do for me than live this way i hope you feel better too! ๐ธ๐ธ๐ธ
I am on fluoxetine and buspar low dose and it took a bit to kick in but its helping now. Dont be scared. Remember that feelings are not reality always. They are just feelings and we can learn to push them away โบ๏ธ
Thank you for the reply and you are right i am in control just hard to take control when anxiety is so powerful and it just runs me and my 24/7 symptoms are horrible and hard to think nothing is wrong but i need to keep going and fighting for my life back
Dont be scared honey. Remember feelings are just feelings. They are not real. We can change our feelings. I also walk, do yoga and meditate. Whatever works for you. Knitting is a great relaxer too โบ๏ธ Youre going to be ok trust me
Thank you i will give it a try!! ๐ธ
I'm not telling you that you should or have to take meds, but if there were something wrong with your kidneys you would take something wouldnt you? The brain is an organ too. Sometimes the wiring can be readjusted. Not the best medical explanation I know, but if it were to help you enjoy life for me its worth it. It does stink to have to take something but hating every day stinks worse. ๐ค You are going to be ok. Really try the meditations though. At first they can be hard to relax into but keep trying and they actually make you feel refreshed. You're completely awake and aware, just the breathing calms your body down. ๐ธ๐ธ๐ธ
you are truly right thank you so much โฅ im going to try my meds i rather try and see what works than sit in my room and suffer everyday
completely right and really opened my eyes that i should give it a chance instead of live my life like this i rather try it and see what happens maybe it will change my life for the better i would regret never knowing instead of living my life in fear and constantly thinking will this ever end.. โฅ
