Anyone ever had the Greenlight surgery ?

just wondering if anyone has any info about this surgery , good or bad

Search on greenlight and pvp. That should keep you reading for a while. When it first came out 20 or so years ago, it seemed like the next big advance in prostate surgery. I think it’s lost some luster over the years. The guy who did my TURP used to do it but now does primarily (bipolar) TURPs and Urolift.

thanks lee , i will check it out , my Dr. is wanting to do the TURP on the 31 st of this month , so thought i would check out other ways to see what sounds best

I would definitely look into other procedures. When my Uro first suggested TURP I was pretty naive. Had I not been armed with questions from this forum I would have gone through with it. My uro was a one trick pony. HE only did TURP. He was very vague maybe even evasive as to what tool he was going to use to remove prostate tissue. I’m one of the lucky ones that finasteride helped so I did not have surgery. If I was going to have surgery soon I would probably have HOLEP. If I had disposable cash I would have FLA but its $25000 to have it done. There are a few guys on here that have had Urolift with great results. I wouldn’t do it simply because the clips are only compressing prostate tissue. YMMV
