hello sisters has anyone experienced laparoscopic surgery for fibroid removal? can anyone tell what happen post surgery? the pain management? can u do much movement like going to toilet etc? i might undergo laparoscopic soon jst waiting in queue regards farah

I’ve done the laparoscopic surgery last year for fibroid removal. My doctor took out 7 fibroids and 1 cyst. I’m glad that he took them out. As for post-op, my pain was 7-8 from a scale of 1-10, as 10 being painful. However, I only took pain meds for 2 days the most. I laid mostly in bed for 2 days, on the 3rd day I walked around the house. After 1 week post op, I was able to drive. If I was in public, I could only stand being out for 1-2 hours, otherwise, I’d get really tired.

Good luck, you will be fine. The best part is that the fibroids will be out of your body.

Hi! can you please tell me what was the size of biggest fibroid?

the biggest fibroid was between 5-6 cm and i had one huge cyst that was 8cm

I have 9cmx7.7cm fibroid and thats fundal with subserosal location on top of my uterus. Can it be removed with laparoscopy ? I have only one fibroid and I don’t want open surgery :frowning:
