Hi, I'm 18. most of my life my digestion hasn't been great, stomach aches, constipation and diarrhea nausea etc. my ibs is much worse with stress i feel very nauseous a lot of the time, i know certain foods don't help such as oats which give me bad cramps. I'm trying lately to be more mindful when im eating, such as chewing more and not drinking with food. i feel like it will just take time for things to get better and hopefully if i consistently eat better and focus on how i eat more, over time things will improve. has anyone experienced anything similar and overcome their IBS? let me know
My IBS is entirely stress related and not triggered by food. My symptoms have been dormant for two years due to the fact I try to avoid stressful situations. I know that I cannot say for sure that I have overcome my IBS because I am an anxious person and an unexpected stressful incident could strike at any time that I have no control over and trigger a flare up. IBS has no cure, so I can never feel fully confident that it has gone for good.
