I been on this site for a few days now. All I see are posts of people like me suffering from anxiety and posting our symptoms. I would love if people that have and are suffering from the same symptoms and illness to post how they cured themselves or are managing to live with this mental illness and any advice that can help us. My heart goes out to all that are suffering and feeling alone right now. Let me tell you that you are far from alone and many of us are right here with you.
There are many coping techniques to deal with anxiety, you can learn about many of them on YouTube. All of them are good, but you have to practice them every day for them to get really effective.
Anxiety is our brains reacting in the wrong way to stressful conditions. It's a flaw in the way our brains work. You have to re-learn how to react to stressful situations and 'reprogram' your brain. It takes effort, but the payoff is good.
Hi, I suffer from severe social anxiety, for years i was on a benzo to help me cope, but recently my dr had to take me off of it, so i started searching for help. I started meditating and listening to free apps that taught me specific techniques on how to deal with the panic attacks and anxiety. I also downloaded the Audio Books app and bought a few books about how to deal with anxiety. When I went to dr apts I would put my headphones in and listen to the book. That helped me so much. There are also support groups you can join. I'm not sure if you take any medications, but after I researched all of my medication side effects I realized I was on medicines that actually caused anxiety, so I discontinued taking them and felt better. I hope this info helped and you find the answers to help you cope.
You are so,lucky that you have overcome the anxiety. I need to take a diazepam just to go to dr appt. or shops. I wake with nightmares every day. I couldnt tolerate anti deps so off them now but not better. I also,listen to apps in night on hypnosis for sleep and mindfulness. Which one son utube do you find best?
