Hi all been a while since ive updated
Ok so back on mirt 15mg for around 8 weels now after severe problems with coming off.
But i am having terrible sleep with severe pins and needles feeling all over my body to the point its causing anxiety the pins and needles is now 24/7 was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this or is this somethong else. Its almost like my body is toxic!
Im not familiar with ur story why did u come off it? How long were u off are u on it for anx or depression
Hi Kelly
quite a relief to hear from you, have been wondering how you are getting on. I should have messaged you but have had many problems to deal with.
I don't get the pins and needles but I noticed when I first started taking mirtazapine I got like this trembly feeling in my feet. I am still taking the 3.75mg which actually isnt worth taking but I feel damned if I do and damned if I dont.
I noticed that someone had written about pins and needles all over the body on another post, havent got time to read all the replies but someone mentioned taking magnesium

Hope you can get to the bottom of it.

I came off because i was having issues with drowsineess all day but ended up hospitalised for a week with severe stomach pains. Reinstated the mirt and they went but now have pins and needles all over and unable to get deep sleep with it as this feeling is constant i feel like im having cold sweats all the time. I was on it from oct last year for depression after my mum died
Id ask ur doc if theres anything u can do abt the pins and needles? Maybe a start up effect?
Could you be over breathing due to the anxiety? I found that gave me pins and needles and cold sweats. Just an idea, might be worth trying slow breathing?
I presume you have had a proper and full thyroid blood test. The Gp's here don't like doing it. However, I recently had it done as I saw a specialist in London and he requested antibodies. They are so high that GP surgery has phoned me to make another blood test appointment. When I looked up symptoms of underactive thyroid, it mentions pins and needles amongst other things. Last year I felt horrendous for three months ended up in hospital and on mirtazapine. I have always felt that drug was masking something. This also happened with another lady on one of the mirt posts, started with overactive, mirtazapine masked it and now she is underactive. E x
