I have recently been diagnosed with a submucosal fibroid that is taking up the whole of my uterine cavity. I have experienced all the joys of heavy periods, flooding, excruciating pain, ive recently had a blood transfusion and im now starting my esyma tablets (waiting for a date for my hysterectomy as this is the only option available due to the position of my fibroid).
Im only 30 and I dont have any children so its very overwhelming.
Im on day 6 of my esyma tablets and im extremely nauseous. ... has anyone else ecperienced this? Does it go away?
I didnt experience any adverse effects from taking esmeya though for me the benefits were limited and I had tha late October... It's not easy but I don't regret the surgery at all and feel so well although recovery takes time and you need to accept its a very big op! Wishing you well

I took Esyma (the generic is Fibristal here in Canada).
I had a BAD headache for the first 3 weeks. I was nauseous, but only for the first week or so. I also had bouts of acne (which is something I don't normally deal with) I found that it was worse the last 20 days of taking Esyma. I also felt very anxious and I could actually feel my heart racing in my chest in the first month.
I am 32 with no children. I have 2 fibroids.
I am going for a second opinion today with another specialist. There is a procedure called "Acessa" that I would like to get more information regarding. It is a new minimally invasive therapy for fibroids. Each fibroid is destroyed by applying energy through a small needle which is inserted directly into the fibroid. Our body then reabsorbs the remaining tissue.

U can find agd doctor who will not remove
your uterus,at your age,u can still get children
even after surgery,God will make your uterus
able to bear fruits a fresh,plz u r too young for
this,i too hv fibroids,

Thank you for your reply ruguru91044. Unfortunately my fibroid is growing in the muscle wall of my uterus. To remove it will require removing part or all of the muscle lining its attached to.. This will leave the remaining muscle layers of my uterus weak and prone to infection. I'm hoping the esyma works in shrinking my fibroid and not too much of my muscle will need removing, therefore a hysterectomy may not be required and I will have a healthy womb. Fingers crossed....
On a separate note has anyone experienced hairloss with esyma? Mine is coming out in chunks every morning in the shower.
