Anyone have experience of this diet?

have tried everything for IBS diet wise, now at the end of my rope.

Now I discovered a new diest and I'm debating whether to try it.

it is the Paeleo or Stone Age diet. Has anyone tried it or heard anything about it. It cuts out all cereals and grains, most dairy products and legumes.

afte the day I had yesterday and today I am willing to try anything. Having a neighbour knock on your door because they can hear screams from me having an IBS full on attack is not good.

HI

Is this the same as the GAPS diet?

No....This is known as the Stone Age diet, it’s basically an eating plan that means you supposedly eat like our ancestors.

What You Can Eat and What You Can't

Go Paleo, and you'll eat a lot of fresh lean meats and fish, fruits, and vegetables, and healthier fats.

You can also eat:

Eggs

Nuts and seeds

Healthier oils, including olive oil and coconut oil

You can't eat any processed foods on this diet. And since our ancestors were hunter-gatherers, not farmers, say goodbye to wheat and dairy, along with other grains and legumes (such as peanuts and beans). Other foods to avoid:

Dairy

Refined sugar

Potatoes

Salt

Refined vegetable oils, such as canola

Hello elvesdoitbetter, have you already tried the low FODMAP diet? It is the diet that has most success with IBS sufferers. If you want to know more, either google it or PM me, I can give you a lot of info and the list of food. I am actually writing a blog post about the differences between paleo and low Fodmap, but I don't think I am allowed to post the link here. If you do the paleo diet, you need to make sure you stay away from those fruits, vegetables and nuts that are high Fodmap. Good luck and all the best for now.

Hi larah, looking at the Fodmap and I am going to incorporate that into the Paleo as well. Don't eat a lot of nuts anyway but I am switching to almond flour and flour free baking.

i have been lacto free before but have now decided to switch to goats milk and see if I am get that raw and also restricting sugar. Don't eat much fruit, very little, I find them too high in sugar and I have reacted to some.

i would be really interested in reading your blog post so if you could let me know where I can read it and any info appreciated thank you.

I will try the way to send you the link to the post. Goat milk contains lactose (in case you are intolerant).
