Im 53, iv got neck bulging disc, bone spurs, canal stenosis & degenerative disc disease.
Iv had MRI, gone thru a Neuro & now at a Pain Mngmt Dr. He wants to do the very common Branch Block, under IV sedation.
Id like to hear from someone thats had this proceedurw!

Hi, yes I had it done in Jan 2016. My pain management DR did it while I was under iv sedation. The procedure helped for a couple of weeks. I have severe whiplash issues on right side from car accident.
How sedated were you with the IV? Denerol??? Did it still hurt and did it hurt cuple days after enough to miss work? I heard poss helped for 3 months. Only 2 weeks? So will u have it again? And did dr give u any pain meds along with it? Mines in 2 weeks n im scared. He gave me Lyrica which duznt seem to do a thing for pain.

Hi I was on my stomach. Only light sedation is needed but if you feel any uncomfortable, I'm sure they can give you a little more.
My neck was sore the rest of day but back to feeling what I call normal the next day. Like I said, it didn't do much for me but was a option by my Dr. The following week I had my non working scs taken out and new one implanted. So it was kinda supposed to get me through my surgery and recovery easier. I'm now receiving cervical injections but those aren't working so helpfully my Dr will have another plan for my neck pain. I also have rsd in my left leg and foot. I hope if you decide, let me know. I'm hoping for the best for you🙂
