Hoow your all less dizzy and having better days. I've been doing ok.
Saw my oto ENT today to check how I did with the eply I had 2 weeks ago for bppv episode I had. Doing better. Yay!!!!! Anywho....I told him I didn't take the nortriptyline and he was ok with it, but suggested trying the propranolol 10mgs to start. I wa curios if your taking it how is working for you? I understand it can also help with anxiety so that's a plus. I'm being very hopeful that it will help. I will be starting it Friday night. He wants me take it before bed, I guess it may cause some tiredness. Can anyone give me any info? Thanks for your help
I amnot currently on propranolol however i know someone who was on a combination on propranolol and pregabalin and they are doing great on it i think 100mg though and 5g of preg. however have been on it for quite a few momths now and starting to wean off it and hopefully will be off it by december completly
But yes i have heard good things, stay positive
I hope to be starting some meds soon to but i am quite scared about side effects
Morning patty. You take the propranalol before bed as its slows your heart rate and make you feel relaxed. It's a beta blocker as such . The only problem I had with it was that my blood pressure dropped really low however it does work for a lot of people. Some of my friends are on them for migraines and have no issues at all
Morning Charlotte. General migraines my friends take them for. But they seem to work.
Mine was vestibular like I said no such luck. I've now to take cinnarizine which I'll start at the weekend see how I feel when I'm at home as drive and use machinery as it says a possible side effect is can make u feel sleepy!! Hope they work I'm fed up of trying different things!

As you probably remember, I take propranolol for MAV/vestibular migraine. I started at 10mg, and now take 40. It has helped. But occasionally when things flare up, I have to take my klonopin which stops my dizziness.
I was a little slow and mellow at first, but then no real side effects except some weight gain (but many of the migraine meds can cause weight gain).
