Anyone Just Feel Disgusting/Hungover?

I have Hashi's and am hypo, with a high TSH but normal everything else.

I've read the symptom list for hypothyroidism and I must say I don't have half of the symptoms that are on it.  I do, however, feel what I would call "disgusting" periodically throughout the day.

I will wake up feeling a bit off and it can either go away after breakfast or come on and stay with me throughout the day.  It can consist of neck/shoulder/head pain, slight nausea, and a general wooziness that makes looking to the left or the right quickly unpleasent.  It's not dizziness, it's like a hangover type feeling.  Enough to ruin your day basically.

I have been on Tirosint 13 mcg since May, now on 25 mcgs.  I am so hopeful of course that the symptoms subside but in the meantime, does anyone else feel like this?  Maybe this is what "thyroid related fatigue" is all about?!  I'm concerned that I may have something other than hypothyroidism and am barking up the wrong tree.

Thanks in advance for any feedback you might have,

Rose

Your symptoms are quite typical for hypothyroidism, but I would suggest getting a general physical and a range of tests including heamatology etc to make sure you are not anaemic or something else.

Thanks Dave, your comment helped to soothe my nerves. I was anemic last year and my ferritin is finally up to 77. I would think the symptoms of anemia would be gone by now but maybe not. If I feel this way after a couple more months on Tirosint I will start to look elsewhere. Thanks again.

Yes, Rose. You mean when you wake up, that feeling like you were run over by a truck? Yup. Know it well.

Something like that Catherine.  It's the strangest feeling.  Like a whole body issue.  I hope we can all find some relief soon!

Rose, I take a lot of herbs and supplements. For the inflammation and pain, I take turmeric. I also take essential amino acids, and of course multi vitamins and multiminerals.
