Hello everyone.
I have a history of endometriosis for which I had excision surgery back in November. My pain has not subsided. Yesterday I had a transvaginal scan which showed 3.5 cm cysts one on each ovary.
My questions are:
Could these cysts be causing my pain? Painful cramps, right sided constant pain, pain down leg, swelling, not being able to eat much, pain under ribs at times, cycial constipation, feeling extremely hormonal at times?
I started zoladex (similar to lupron) last month, when these kick in should it help with the cysts?
What are my options now? Will removing them help or will they just grow back?
Many thanks xx
Hello Katie. Mm you are going through a lot you poor thing!
All I know is that I had my right ovary removed, when I was 19! I was scared to death!!
Anyway cysts are Wierd things in our bodies, but as far as I know if they are surgically removed, they don't usually come back. Mine didn't thank god!
And the same for you too.
I would get piece of mind from your GP if I was you. All the best 😊🌺
Thank you so much for your reply! I've had a tough 4 years with the Endo and was expecting to feel better after the op to remove it (6 1/2 hour long surgery). Now ive been told I have cysts I don't know what to do really! I really don't want to 'watchful wait' as ive had the pain on my right ovary for over 2 years so can't imagine it will just vanish.
I'm in so much pain I can't work/ go out/ do supermarket shop/ go on holidays. Ive no life at the moment 😥. I devote all my energy to my 3 year old and with the pain just can't do anymore. Worried the Drs will just say 'just leave them they'll go away on their own'. Xx
Hi there I would have thought so, I know people that have had those and they are very painful apparently. I'm currently having problems to. In Eleven months I've had brown/pink blood spotting in between periods, headaches from the moment I wake, pain under my arm pit, and abdominal discomfort. So far I've had smear and camera probe and both ok. I see a socialist in three weeks but in desperate it get it sorted as in sure are the same. Being women can be a nightmare. Any advice in my symptoms. Big and a little discomfort in my private region. My periods are mostly normal, but a few days late usually. I think once you have your cutch removed you'll feel much better.
Sorry about mistakes, using my mobile And can't really see what I've written, I really hope they get you sorted.
One last thing really, they will later them off I think. You can't be left anymore they have to get you sorted, I know how you feel though because I feel my life's been taken over by being Ill. Precious to this I had a virus three years ago that took me off my feet for 7 months. Even so de I've not felt right. I had lung problems, now this. Where does it end. But pls try not to worry. You must tell you specialist how much it's affecting you mentally and physically. Every person I know that had them was operated on. Bless you you've really been through it
