Anyone really enjoying a new food?

I would have happily  sat here with a huge bar of dairy milk or a 4 pack of snickers, and scoffed the lot! Up until 4 weeks ago of course when I started taking orlistat lol - it's not just the side effects that have kept me right but I'm hoping when I see the orthopedic surgeon he'll agree that I've done everything in my power to improve my mobility in my knee ...anyway, these days I'll sit here watching TV very happily eating satsumas or apples, or some fruit and fibre with skimmed milk... I have 5 children at home with me so cakes and sweets and chips and all the rest of it is always around, and I've never even been tempted, isn't it funny how the right frame of mind makes a goal more achievable , I haven't taken the orlistat for a while now, I've lost my first stone in 4 weeks, and my thinking has changed... Couldn't have started this though without this forum, the support means the world to me still have a way to go but I'm looking forward to my future sooo much

Well done.  That's brilliant achievement.

Nothing is possible if that mind set isn't right as I think its the biggest battle of weight loss.

So be proud of yourself xx

i know what you mean before i started all this i would be sat with chocolate etc now i either like yourself eat fruit or cereal which i never would have done before i would much rather stick to wearing a 12 than go back to eating all that crap like i used to. Good Luck for the rest of your weight loss journey and well done for your weight loss so far xx

well done shelagh - I'm enjoying eating fruit on a night - especially cherries and melon, sometimes with a dollop of low fat natural yogurt!  I quite often have grapes and yog for brekkie too!
