Recently found some new anal fissuring, so I am back with the soaks and pain.
My gynecologist prescribed dovanex. I have so many ointments in my bathroom drawer, it is hard to keep track.
Any thoughts?

I wish - the list is endless. Hopefully one day one of them will do the trick!
just a note of caution that vit D is the newest and latest incentivised treatment, tho not so much in cream form, and that unless its natural (preferably from sunlight) it can cause problems. Food grade is fine but some theories rate higher magnesium as more beneficial instead.
anyway just to say if you do need more vit D its apparently best to try to find a non synthetic source.
It's worth a try elizabeth...I would assume the vit.d content will be to strengthen the skin barrier.
I am trialing a natural cold pressed 100% avacado oil and that contains natural vit.d. along with other beneficial vitamins.
I haven't tried it on the vulvar area yet but it is brill on the rest of my skin, sinks in and leaves a lovely satin feel.
Vulvar next.
Anything with healthy vits. and minerals in has got to be good although I do prefer the natural approach if possible.
Let us know how you fair with Dovanex it sounds interesting.
