Anyone use amitriptyline for tinnitus?

I’ve had tinnitus for 5+ years. Considering amitriptyline. Would appreciate hearing any experiences. Thanks!

Hi David,

I have tinnitus and have tried all kinds of ways to live with it but would be keen to know if amitriptyline would be of any benefit. Have not heard of it being prescribed for tinnitus. Would have to be kept to a low dosage as high doseage could possibly become addictive.

Hi, I've sent you a study done on amitriptyline for tinnitus, seems positive, I take 5htp which helps me sleep, I have got sort of used to my tinnitus after 23 years.
