anyone got bad cough since peri? No lung diease detected , all tests are good/ chest xray , ct scan , pet scan.
will it go away or Im developing some asthma or something? Hormones to blame?

Yes, just recently (late October) I have developed a mucusy cough in my throat.
It is usually worse around when I should be ovulating or on my period… sometimes I wheeze when I breathe out, worse at night than in day.
I definitely feel that squeezing around my ribs/diaphragm off and on too.
I did get an inhaler… Dr. said it’s possible hormone changes are making my bronchus and lungs more sensitive. Also allergy triggers have been very bad here this year, so he said could be both aggravating me.
If I take a benadryl, I can usually get the cough to go away after about 20 minutes, until the next time.
I also have more foods that give me heartburn than ever before… not sure if related. but mention it because sometimes when I think it’s my diaphragm that feels funny, it turns out my gut is bloated and pushing up from below. Still trying to narrow down how to make that stop…

thank you, I am coughing also more around period, bedore period its different cough and during its different. this is so sad, hopefully it will go away, it sounds really bad but the pulmo is saying my lungs are clear, so strange this mucus is not showing up on scans …
