Anyone with extreme nausea symptom?

I haven't been officially diagnosed with CFS but have just been referred to a specialist and am awaiting my appointment for the clinic. I have had five long years of it all so it's took me a long time to get to this point.

I am having a setback right now and have been mostly on my bed for the last five weeks. My body feels like a piece of paper and the pains really get to me at times. My mood sinks when I get like this too.

One of my worst symptoms is nausea...profound nausea every day, day in, day out. I have reacted very badly to three different anti-emetics so now I am having to just live with it. Does anyone else get nausea. I try eat every 2-3 hours and it does help a little bit but not for long. It's always worse in the mornings when I get up. My GP assures me this can be part of CFS but it is this symptom that worries me.

I can take the exhaustion and the pains to a degree, but this nausea is so bad at times I don't even want to talk to anyone.

Anyone relate? I'd be glad to hear from you.

My teen had nausea right from the start and is now on cyclizine which they take before a meal. Tried a different medication before which had no effect. Ask your GP about anti nausea med. They do work and small meals often too.

Hi and thanks for your reply. Sad to say I have had Parkinson's like symtpom side effects from all the anti-eletics I have tried so far. It makes it all so difficult for my doctor. I do eat little and often.

I have tried ginger in the past as that's supposed to be good for nausea.

I hope your teen has things under control.

Yes, Sue, nausea is definitely a symptom of CFS. I had it for a while, then it went away. When you have a setback, new symptoms can pop up and old symptoms can worsen. So there's every chance that your nausea will go away.
