You would think a hypochondriac like me would know better than to have one of these....but my husband got me one and explained the functions - especially the heart monitoring part. Intellectually, I know its a good thing to have but for a invariable "checker" like me its really a curse. If I get a reading that is odd I will totatally obsess over it and focus on re-checking for days. Sad. And I was just feeling better after getting over my last "crisis." Anyone else have one?
I plan on getting one!! I too will have the same problem… I think any normal human being would, its important to know if there is a problem and is completely normal to over worry, if something is wrong. what has it told you??
I HAVE THE SAME EXACT PROBLEM. i constantly think im going into cardiac arrest due to my chest flutters and chest pain and dizziness. do yall get this? i also have to watch
Those are not accurate at all. They do not conform to your wrist. That’s why at the doctors they use two fingers on the wrist or an oximeter. If you want a more accurate reading get an oximeter. Yes they can be wrong sometimes especially when the battery needs to be replaced but doctor’s offices use them and there about $30.
I did my home aerobics video (15 min) and I jogged (slowish runner) and my heart beat never got over 74 the other day.
I wonder if the fact that I had done some deep meditation right before we left for the running path had something to do with it??
I jog for one hour every day and never have a problem with breathlessness or pain but I still worry…
Hmmm…I know the rate has been a lot higher than that doing those same things day after day. Like 140 or around there.
I’m going to call it an anomaly and try to forget about it.
Sigh…always something to stew about and I had been doing pretty good there for a week or so! Drat!
