So I just phoned hospital up to rearrang my Friday appointment due to still have a bad cough and chest. Due to the fact that I had to cancel in January because of the same thing they are now discharging me back to my GP Apparently you can only rearrange once I exsplained I didn't want to spread my infection around but no joy. They can't go against the policy. So when I am well I will have to see my GP to ask them to refer me back to gastro. I am really annoyed because I have a genuine reason why I need to rearrange
A possible suggestion would be to contact the gastro and the GP surgery to 'make' this complaint known simutaneously. Usually that will negate them having you to re-refer and you can find details on the hospital's website for the department!!!!!

Yes you are right - You have a genuine reason to rearrange - I had to reschedule one medical appointment and I called them - I feel it depends on which staff member picks up the phone
