So ive been feeling pain in my lip area everyday for almost a year now, there is no cold sore etc but i always feel pain in my lips, it is the worst in the morning right when I wake up. Ive tested 3 times for herpes each time getting negative, ive waited past the 3 months mark to build antibodies I even went after 9 months after feeling the pain and still negative but my doctor said the test isn’t accurate and “thinks” it is hsv-1 that is causing it, I really want to move on with my life and know if i have it or not, I haven’t had a cold sore but so much lip pain, lip cracking, peeling and sometimes when I wake up there’s yellow stuff on my lips that when I wash my mouth it comes off.

If you google Terri Warren, US based she offers something called the Western Blot which is supposed to be super accurate for HSV.
I get this when I am low in Iron/ B12 have you had this checked?
I havent but I might buy a bottle of B12 or iron pills, how long has your lips hurt for
sometimes blood tests can not identify hsv
so it is better to follow whatever your doctor says
