i have been taking fluoxetine for 5 days now
is this normal
chest pain around left breast (just trying to be exact)
neausea
diarrea
dizziness
hot then cold
restless
anxiety
i get so nervous with it
Yes I had all of those side effects! It's so hard to push through them but they do lessen over time!
thank you so much. with my anxiety its hard to tell myself that. i feel as if something bad is wrong with me even though all test are normal. hopefully i can start telling myself that.
hi amber ive been on fluoxetine 20mg for 18 days all the side affects you describe i have experienced my self i can relate to how you feel i find it really tough goin at times but its helped me agreat deal since i joined this forum and it makes me feel a wee bit better knowing that iam not alone .take care grahamj
You're not going nuts and you are not dying, either - just feels that way. It's awful and it lasts for a few weeks and then slowly these symptoms drop away and after a while you feel great and after some more time, joy starts to appear in your days.
To get to the joy of living again, you have to go through the torment of the early weeks. That say to give it eight weeks, my symptoms started to lessen after three. I remember wondering what in hell I'd gotten into during the first week or two. I felt much worse than when I when I went to my GP because I was feeling so bad.
Stay the course, though, and keep posting here. Everyone here is either going through much the same as you or has been through it and come out the other side.
Seven months in, I feel better than I can remember ever having been.
