Are these typical anxiety symptoms?

The more I look on here the more I start to think I may have a big anxiety problem. I have been searching for answers since I first started experiencing all these symptoms at around 10 years old. That was 8 years ago, I’m an 18 year old girl now and while my pain tolerance is increasing my symptoms are increasing with it. I’m starting to think it is all anxiety related. These are my most common annoyances. Could anyone tell me if these are common anxiety symptoms?

Nausea

Constipation/dihharea

OCD and health phobias

Facial flushing

Overheating when it’s 30 degrees outside

Pounding heart

Feeling dizzy/off balance/ extremely foggy  even when well rested

Fatigue

Cloudy eyes/swollen eyes

Choking feeling/unable to breathe

Shaking

I have been tested for everything under the sun and everything came back ok except for an extremely

Mild case of anaemia which was treated a while ago. Now that I have been more aware I have noticed a slight correlation between them and stressful events but not always, so I’m confused. Also, I won’t feel actively anxious for a big event I have coming up yet these symptoms will creep up on me the day before every time.  I have been to therapists and they have done nothing to help, I don’t want to try meds either. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I don’t know why else I would feel so ill at random times so frequently if not for anxiety. Thanks

Hi. It does sound like anxiety to me. I have experienced and still do many of the things you have. Why do you not want to try meds??? I'm not judging you at all as meds are not for everyone just wondered what your reason was. When I feel an attack coming on I try deep breathing and thinking if things that make me feel safe and comfortable.

i mean i knew i had to do something i couldnt take the obsession over certians things, would get a hot feeling in my face, racing heartbeat, ocd, i had word vomit. i had to try to see if anxiety meds would help when i was diagnosed and i think its the best thing to do to see if it helps you personally

and if it doesnt help you dont need to continue taking them

Yup sounds like anxiety.  I suggest more therapy until you find a good match.  I went to therapy years ago and found it useless.  Recently though I had a therapist that focused and the physical symptoms and explaining how they manifest and how to deal with them.  Some people are just naturally high anxiety, you don't need a cause or tragic event in your life.  Other therapists always looked for some unsolved dilemma in my history that did not exist.  Cut out any people that cause drama in your life and chase after things that matter to you and not those around you.  Be yourself.  Also, I recommend group therapy in addition to regular therapy. Hearing what other people went through helps you realize many things like ... 1) You are not alone 2) In my case made me realize what is and is not important in my life.  If all else fails medication may be the answer but I suggest trying to get it under control without it first.  Even with a medication you still may need to know coping strategies.  Bad anxiety can turn into real physical problems like acid reflux causing damage to your body in the long run.  Don't feel bad if you need medication and it helps because life is too short to suffer and not enjoy it.

Update: I do have severe digestive issues that flare up often, bad acid reflux and other problems so that’s part of the reason I am not sure if this is anxiety or something else. Some symptoms feel like anxiety, some don’t. I would be open to trying meds but it is out of the question since my parents don’t allow me to bc they are worried about my family’s history of strong  addictive personality’s.

Has your GP given anything to help this Anxiety ? Your GP needs a full explanation of your health problems although I would say you are suffering anxiety and have done fr many years. Have you any idea why you feel the way you do ? Sometimes to know the reasons for something can help you approach the cause and move onto a lasting cure.

Talking can help, your GP can arrange a treatment pathway

Hi You say you are 18 and have acid reflux. I was wondering if you were under the care of a dr. I am concerned about you in case you are vomiting or going without food.
