hi everyone i went to the hospital today because the last few weeks ive had a cough and chest pain and also shortness of breath. the doctor took some bloods, did an ecg, an ultrasound of my lungs and heart and also a cheat xray. i also told them about the numbenss in my arm. last night i got such a fright. my whole right arm went completly numb. i immediately thought im having a stroke or something. i told the doctor at the hospital as i was worried. and he said it doesnt sound like a stroke but with the ecg and ultrasound and bloods would confirm it. All my test came back clear. And he said its not a stroke and that more likely anxiety but i find it hard to believ that. ive never had that happen before. i have been very anxious this last few months because of the virus to the point it has me in tears everyday. . but this numbness really frightened me. ive been feeling dizzy at times aswell but can a build up of anxiety and stress do that ?. i feel happy that my test came back clear but i still feel a bit worried about the numbness like maybe they missed it or didnt do the right test and i actually have had a mini stroke or something. When this happened my heart was pounding because i was so scared. sorry for the long post and thanks for reading
Did they give you anything for anxiety to see if it would help your symptoms? Of course they didn’t I hate DRs…and ERs…
It sounds like anxiety..you should try something over the counter…like magnesium citrate pills…or do some research on medicine you can use for anxiety in your area…but I’m sorry you are struggling i have anxiety also and it is horrible at times..espeically at night.
hi missy i was on prozac for years from the doctor but stopped taking it because it ran out. it was stupid of me i should of kept it up then maybe i wouldnt be in this situation. but i just dont get the numbness. it was so scary. xx
