I was diagnosed with Hyperthyroidism 2 days ago. I haven't been started on any medication yet, but I have another test to be done in 2 weeks. I am not sure what I should be doing, can I still go to the gym what do i do when I get the heart palpitations (they happen at random throughout the day). what about dizzy spells? the other issue I have is the anxious feeling, what do i do about that and when should I be concerned about it? Not sure what to do just in limbo at the moment...
You should not do any fast exercise until your levels are under control. While my Endocrinologist took 2 months to finalize all tests on me and make a diagnosis, when she first encountered a fast sedentary heart rate, she put me on Propranolol immediately. Ask your doctor about that. You can also take some natural supplements for the anxiety, particularly Lemon Balm.
I will also advice not to do any sport until your range normalised. It happened to me and my palpitations increased because I kept on doing some exercises
