At the hospital as I write this

I've had a headache for about three weeks, dr just told me it sounds like a tension headache. But I'm so convinced it's not. Does anyone else feel this way? I still have the buzzing feeling on my feet and sometimes hands. I am afraid I don't know why. I feel like maybe all this stress is causing me the headaches. I'm hoping they do good test to prove me right. .  I've had a CT and blood work done before all cleared, but my symptoms just won't go away. I don't know what to do anymore...  my headaches get relief when I crack my neck... when I'm walking I can even hear like crackling coming Folsom the back of my neck bone. Help.

Might I suggest seeking a specialists opinion, maybe a neurologist or an orthopedic/chiropractor, someone who deals directly with headaches and what causes them.  It is very possible that all of this IS just anxiety but if you see a specialist at least you will have your answers.  It is possible since they are relieved when you crack your neck that something is out of place or maybe pinching a nerve or something like that.  Try your best to look for home remedies in the meantime, there are a lot of suggestions for headaches from pressure points to essential oils.  Best of luck!!!

Hi Desiree,

I've had the same type of headache going on three months now. I was suffering with bad anxiety for almost s year and tried several medications that just did not work for me. Ever since I stopped the medication, the headaches started. Had an MRI and other tests done because I was feeling dizzy as well. They are getting better but some days they are worse. I've started excersising on the days the headaches aren't so bad, this really helps, especially with mood. I've also been taking Fish oil and it helps.  Ibuprofen, Advil, sumatriptan etc all do not help these kinds of headaches for me unfortunately. I do believe it is stress and anxiety that causes this, also withdrawals from medication.

I hope they go away for you and hope you feel better soon! Reach out to me if you need to talk

when I was in my 20s I had everyone of your symptoms ..the buzzing, the headaches...  all due to anxiety.

I have cracking in the Neckbone  also. Nothing serious. Many people have that.

Listen to your doctor. The tests don't lie.

Im in my fifties now and still get occasional symptoms when I am anxious. I basically ignore them now because I know they can't hurt me. I calm myself down with meditations on you tube for anxiety.  I go about my day and if I get a symptom, I accept it calmly and it eventually goes away.

The more you worry, the worse it gets.

Ive been through it all.

Take charge of your anxiety. You are in control.
