I had a Austion bunionectomy and was just wondering if anyone else had this procedure, and what your experiences with this procedure. Thank you In Advance!
The magic number is two weeks. Yesterday was Day 14 for me. My doctor removed the stitches. He said that I can get it wet now. I also ditched my crutches and I started "heel walking". I was advised to always use my surgical boot when walking. I'll be back in 4 weeks for another X-ray and at that time, my doctor said that I can start wearing tennis shoes.
Patience is the key. The first week is the toughest.
Best thing I heard thus far! Ty! Cynthia. It will be two weeks by my next surgery.
