Autoimmune related conditions

I'm trying to find out if anyone else has the same combination of symptoms as me: Psoriatic arthritis, allergic dermatitis, low vitamin D, irritable / inflammatory bowel, polycystic ovaries, chronic fatigue symptoms, fibromyalgia symptoms.

Hi, - Ive got PCOS not fully confirmed but its showing sign in my bloods, I also suffer from psoriasis, and in my last blood tests it came up that my thyroid was low which im awaiting results of.

Hi Laura

Sorry to hear that - but there is stuff you can do to manage the PCOS so your hormone levels remain broadly within normal ranges.  I do wonder if you are auto-immune with that combination - I would ask to see a rheumatologist.  Dr Foster has a good way of finding a decent one.  Please do let me know what additional information I can send you.  It may be helpful to look up my posts, which due to the varying autoimmune symptoms I have myself sit in a lot of different discussion forums.

Yes I have excema  thyroid imbalance , chronic fatigue syndrome and onset of arthritis. My doctor told me these autoimmune disorders were linked. I have done a fair amount of research lately and have found a lot of research on the blood type diet. Case studies seem to show good response to eating the right foods for your blood type. I have been on it for a week now and I have noticed a real feeling of well being .only time will tell but if you have not looked into it maybe you should. I am a type A. Blood group as apparently many sufferers are, interesting eh?

PPP, PA, NP, POS.

I'm blood type A + too

Sorry, Rachel - I'm not au fait with the abbreviations.

Well if you are A+ try the blood type diet, not only am I feeling great I am also losing weight which I needed to do.  Peter d'adamo is the author and the book is, eat right for your blood type. For A+  you would be essentially following a diet where certain grains are restricted as are certain meats. For each food type , lists are given for  highly beneficial , neutral and  foods to avoid.  It might mean giving up some things you think you can't do without, bread for instance, as I did but after reading so much negative reports on bread I thought, I have nothing to lose, except weight!  I have not missed the bread or anything else for that matter and I am eating plenty of things I have not eaten normally, so I am notin the least bit bored either. Give it a try!
