Hi, I have just been put on the above two lots of tablets to take alongside steroids and salzapyrine and calcium tablets. I have been reading the side effects and im a bit nervous. Is anyone else taking these, any suggestions tips or advice, getting so fed up with it all, if these don't work ill be getting injections or an open 😲 so would really like to see some positive results!!! I am on Azithriopine and steroids. TheAzithriopine has been life changing ! I get checked every 2 months because of side effects. They have improved my life so much.
Hi, Nicola I'm in Azathioprine 200mg and I feel sick on this dosage for a week. I hit told by Consultant it will take 3 to 4 months til the tablets would take affect on crohns flare up.

I was put on azothiaprine last year and after about 4 or 5 weeks i started to vomit and had to stop taking it. I am now on mercaptopurine which i am tolerating much better. I hear that it does work well for some people tho. As you say these medications take a long time to be effective so you dont know until you try
