I've been reading on line the symptoms of B vitamin deficiency and they sound just like anxiety symptoms. Shortness of breath, heart palpitations, fatigue and even anxiety itself. Has anyone hear of this? I'm going to start taking a B complex supplement to see if it helps
Yes! People low on vitamin b12 can experience all of these symptoms. A simple blood test can tell you your numbers.
To be honest, I would recommend having the blood test before taking vitamins. As I am a vegetarian, I was taking B12 tablets daily (1000ug) but it appears my body does not absorb B12 this way - I have since had to have B12 injections which will hopefully solve the problem. Ask your GP and see what your number is
Yes , a deficiency especially in vitamin D can cause all these symptoms plus stomach issues like IBS , gastritis , bloating , gassy , etc . It is best to get your levels tested ,so you will know how much to take . Studies with 60,000 patients that suffer anxiety ,panic , gastritis ,IBS , 90% were vitamin D deficient . Have you not read my concerns and information on this ? Vitamin D is a Pro Hormone that is vital for our health from head to toe , in every cell etc . Have your levels tested .
If you have trouble absorbing B12 from tablets you can get it in spray form which you just spray under your tongue. This has worked well for me as I have IBD which means I struggle absorbing things from tablets.
