Back at work but struggling

Im back at work after 2 months. It is a shock to say the least. I came home today after a gentle half day and just felt like bursting into tears.

Im on the verge of moving to my own flat too.

I had a holiday planned - it was planned since oct. Its with my friend and her family. When things got bad I wasnt coping well and she said I shouldnt come on holiday if not better. Holiday is soon and she is saying she diesnt think I should go. Im devestated as It was something to focus on for ages. Now I feel im losing everything and so alone. I always worry things will change like this and plans made go wrong and I just get very upset when ai think about it..

This combined with work I just dont have much hope. I feel that Im holding on by the dkin of my teeth and all my support is gone.

Sorry to hear what you're going through. Sounds like you've got alot going on all at once, no surprise you're feeling the way you are.

I completely understand - I was unable to work for a while due to my depression & going back was the hardest thing, but it does get eaiser with time.

Don't put any pressure on yourself, take your time & ease yourself back in.

As for your friend - she doesn't sound very supportive & the last thing you need is someone making you feel worse especially when it's someone that's supposed to care about you.

I was meant to go on holiday next month with my so called best friend but we're not even talking at the moment because of an arguement she created. Sometimes it's best to distance yourself from people if they're bringing more stress to your life, it's hard when it's someone you're close to but people change & that's not something you can control.

Just focus on yourself & doing anything that makes you happy.

Here if you need to talk x

Hi k8861 - sorry to read of your troubles. With the job, it will take time to adjust to the routine again, so allow yourself that. Are you happy to be moving to a new home? It's a stressful event, but if the new home is better than the last and you are content with that, then it should be seen as an adventure and the chance to start afresh. As for the trip away, can you tell your friend how much it means to you? That it's something you have been looking foward to and to be left behind will be just too disappointing? Meanwhile, are you taking any meds for depression?

Hi I would go on the holiday and don't talk any more to your friend about how you are feeling.   If you have been looking forward to it for so long then tell your friend you are feeling much better.  It may be just what you need to get away for a lovely holiday.
