Pain in ears and dizziness got worse so husband said lets ring 111 see what they say, i was amazed at what he told them, and because of this they send an ambulance car to take me to a medical control centre, and the doctor there decided because i was having all the syptems of virtigo and bilateral tenderness he wanted me checked out by a specialist at a hospital that knows about pmr.
So results were progress: ongoing earache and dizziness bilateral temporal tenderness.ESR normal
Investigations ECG-RBBB ESR2
normal impression acute otitis media requiring antibiotics
So i have been given Clarithromycin tablets, and Prochlorperazine to take as required.
Eyes are still stinging but see doctor Wednesday, so hopefully in a few days i will be back to my normal PMR self, thank you for all your comments and kindness, what we do without this forum.
Morning Margaret; good to hear from you, and soooo please that hubby did get you the help you needed....There are so many times (especially with conditions that we think "just another side affect" and put up with same)....Vertigo alone is bad enough, but a Middle Ear infection is also horrible....so thank goodness...if the ear-drum had ruptured (due to too much pressure on it), you would have felt "excrutiating" pain....take care of that precious body (and husband) of yours....lots of TLC and one of your hugs xxx Bron
Good Evening Bron, so lovely to hear from you, yes i think hubby is coming up trumps bless him no sleep for 28hrs i was on a bed he was on a chair, never murmured, so i got him plenty of tea, and breakfast next morning. Hope you are keeping well will email later, till then lots of hugs.xxx
Glad to hear that you are getting sorted. As Eileen said not everything is PMR. It is lovely to read that your Hubby is being so supportive now. Might keep him now hey!, Keep us posted on your progress.
