Has anyone suffered pain at the back of the knee on their hip replacement leg. I feel I have gone backward with my rehab and just after returning from a long haul flight! I don't think it's a DVT as no swelling, redness or other symptoms. I have to wait a week for a GP appointment thought might not be able to wait that long! Where is my stick?!
It's so important to have a good physio. I'm a sports physiotherapist . Sound like a tight hamstring,or abductor muscle something as simple as that can cause so many problems if not sorted out . Xx some people say they can't afford a private physiotherapist 😱 Personally I think you really can't afford not to 😳. A Doctor is not qualified to help with physiotherapist issues . But see your GP to put your mi d at rest. Get a good physiotherapist ASAP X 🙏🏻😘
Thanks Bobbie102. Will do!
Hi there vivb, just letting you know that I suffered severe pain on the left side of my knee after RTHR. I eventually got an infection in the knee the pain was so bad I was in tears. I had surgery end of July and got this nfection in my knee about mid Sept. I finally got over it after 2 large bottle of antibiotics, I had redness, and swelling after the knee pain started about 2-3 weeks in then I knew something was wrong. had an ultrasound and xray and that is what it showed. Yes you need your stick. Anyway that is how I landed up on this forum searching for answers and others that have gone thru the same thing. My Ortho surgeon told me that knee pain after hip surgery was quite common. Anyway it did set me back with physio as I had to stop exercising etc. I am back on the mend and done with all that but I know how you feel. Just keep a close eye on it... Take care Hugs, to you June
I'm 2 years post thr I'm suffering pain behind my knee just the same!
Behind the knee pain could be from your sciatic nerve which has been my problem since my hip surgery. Hip is doing well, sciatic nerve issues after surgery.
