Back pain 5 months post TKR

Was experiencing lower back pain over the last six weeks. The chiropractor diagnosis: pain was due to my TKR. My new knee and now straight leg is a quarter inch longer than the other leg. Immediately obtained a quarter inch heel lift for the other bad bowed leg. Back pain and related limp was resolved. If you are experiencing back pain after TKR, consider using a heel lift to maintain proper spine and posture support. Best regards and the Lords blessings to all, RJ.

Thank you I have been having a terrible back ache. Will give ut a try

My boss had that problem after his hip replacement.

I've had this problem on occasion and my solution was to have the chiropractor align my hips correctly.  Misalignment WILL show one leg shorter than the other.  I would resort to an orthotic only if the chiro said that you were properly aligned and that one leg was ACTUALLY shorter than the other because of the surgery.  Then I'd get the orthotic.  If you have this issue, don't assume that your hips are OK and that a shoe lift is the answer.  In such a case, it's correcting the length issue but not solving the underlying hip problem which could then lead to locked SI joints, sciatica and other issues.  Check your hip alignment first!  RJ did that with his chiro and followed the correct path to an orthotic.  Glad you're feeling better!!!

Heel lifts are great for guys but don't always fit properly in women's shoes and sandals.

I brought a band that goes on your leg, it has a disc that sits at the back of the leg to relive the presure point, I put it on in the morning leave it on till I shower at night sleep with it on till the next day, and my back pain goes away for quite a while. Hope this helps

I had the opposite to start with but ended up the same after one knee op.  One leg was 2cm shorter than the other because it bowed out with arthritis and it caused a curvature of the spine!  So I had to raise that shoe heel by 2cm but after the op that leg is longer than the other one, so waiting to see what happens with the other leg when that's done now LOL!

I took mine to the local shoe mender who added a piece on the bottom of the shoe Mary.  There are also places where you can send your shoes to be done but they're more expensive.  With sandals I found my heel lifts stuck well to the inside of the sandal and stayed in place.

I had to get one too. Was glad I already was using a good Chiropractic Dr before my knee replacement.

Thank you godfather. I come to you for justice and you give me information. Tell me what service can I do for you?

My boss is having trouble getting a Sr. VP to approve a proposal for us.  I need Guido and Paulie to pay him a "little visit".  Nothing too extreme just some "friendly persuasion"...no more than a day in the hospital.  342 Ackard St, Dallas.  Drives a dark green Beemer 325i parked in the lot across the street.  Simple job. Two front row tix to Brittney in Vegas...all expenses for da guyz.  Should not be a problem...
