I had a dreadful kidney infection for a couple of weeks after my prolapse was discovered. My doctor has told me I wasnt drinking enough and that I must drink one & half litres of water every day to make sure the bowel movements and poo is soft as if it is hard and you are constipated it is harder to pass and makes prolapse worse. I had antibiotics but had the back pain for a while afterwards.
