Back to GP - what should I mention?

Hi all

So, after a while off the meds (and been stable mentally), other than not being able to get my diet back on track, leaving me with my weight still continuing to rise, I've also started to slide a bit again mentally.

End of my work contract is coming up, so I'm really worried about the financial impact of that and I've had a few other issues too, so, seeing the alarm bells starting to ring again, I'm back to the GP tomorrow.

Can anyone advise what I should look to get discussed.

I'm not keen on going on anti-depressants again, given the side effects I suffered before.

Is there anything the doctor could give me to help with the boredom/comfort eating?

Hi, all you can do is tell your GP how you are feeling and if you've to go back on anti depressants again then do it, the GP can't prescribe anything for the bordom or comfort eating only you can sort that by planning your days/week out. I must admit I'm comfort eating but couldn't care less at the moment, I'm also struggling to do anything, the best I could do today was to drive to a local ice cream parlour and have a chocolate ice cream but at least I did something.

Anyway that's me, go to your GP and see where it takes you, tell your GP your feeling you are slipping as a reaction to what's happening in your life and that alarm bells are ringing, catch it early is a good idea, no point in struggling on, I'm the first person to reach out when I feel I'm relapsing, trouble is I talk myself into relapsing when my anxiety strikes.

Good luck hope your GP visit goes well, please let me know how you get on PM me if you want.

Neil

So, I'm back from the GP.

Still no meds, but they are writing to a specialist for advice.

Things are getting worse for me, unemployment is pending and that will ruin me financially and therefore make life (and finding work) even harder.

I'm at my wits end. I've tried pretty much everything and I just can't catch a break.
