Back to work....thankyou...cheerio!

Well after my LTHR in April I went back to work on Monday. Doing phased return for 4wks.

I feel 95% better, no pain (other 5% just stiffness really).

Therefore after the weekend I am going to opt out of this forum.

BUT. THANKYOU THANKYOU THANKYOU!!!

the help support advice on here has been tremendous. Especially in darkest hours not sleeping 😴😴

I will always know where to come if anything crops up in future but for now back to work, life and laughter 😀😀😀

Even booked trip to USA in december!

Love hugs (warm ones for Renee 😉) and healing hips ❤❤❤

That's great news. I've only just joined the forum last week and am on day 21 post op around 6pm tonight lol.

Good luck and enjoy your holiday to the USA

And another one graduates from this forum - congratulations. It is truly good to read your update and good news on progress. Best wishes.

Great news to hear you are doing so well.  I also had my THR in April and I am ready to go back to work!  My wife and I have a restaurant here in Ecuador and have been closed since the earthquake in April.  We are scheduled to be back at work in September and we can not wait!  I am very similar in my progress at around 90% with no actual pain just very stiff in the groin area.  I was extremely active prior to my injury and eventual rthr it will be an adjustment for me for sure.  I find comfort in conversing with fellow hippies and I thank you!

hi angela,

congratulations on a job well  and thank you for sharing-

wishing you continued health and happiness

big warm hug

Good luck for continued recovery from hip and earthquake. I hope your home survived okay as well. How is the area doing post the quake?

Best wishes to you and your wife.

Our house collapsed and caused our injuries as we were unable to escape in time.  We lost most everything but our restaurant still stands.  We need repairs and some new equipment but in time we will open as before.  Although our injuries will leave a change in our bodies, our minds and hearts are determined.  Many local Ecuadorians remain living in tent cities and the process of rebuilding their lives will take a long while.  Government aid is slow to come.  Many great volunteer organization have helped considerably and the people are grateful.  I could go on and on.  Happy to be here and talking. Thank you again and keep up the good progress!

I'm really sorry to hear how much havoc this quake caused in your life. I don't hope offer prayers often, but I hope and pray that you and your wife will prevail through this bleak period in your life. And, I must say that your attitude is really inspiring.

I sincerely hope you and your network bounce back well from this. It certainly puts my own situation in perspective and I hope it helps others in the same way.

It may seem strange to offer a big hug to you both as we have never met, but I do send a heartfelt one.

Warmly,

Linda

We have accepted many hugs in recent months and many from complete strangers...and we are forever grateful, thank you. Make sure you keep me updated on future hipster progress my friend...April was a good month to have one done I believe 👍

Hugs,

Alan

Good luck Angela for your continued recovery. I'm going back to work in 2 weeks also on phased return & I can't wait! I've been so bored. I went in today to see my manager & have a cup of tea & I ended up staying for 2 hours catching up with everyone! At least when I go back I'll be able to get on with my work! Best wishes x
