ANy one had it?
Very few survive bacterial meningitis, alas. It particularly hit the very young and elderly.
Viral meningitis is very survivable - i've had it countless times (maybe 30+). In my case, it's underlying disease is Behcet's syndrome - a sort of systemic vasculitis. Although I had my first meningitis at age 18, then next wasn't until I was shy of age 40. The diagnosis wasn't found until 2010.
Hope this helps!
I have it . It is no fun... How long have you been sick with it?
I had it in 2013 n lasted 6 months. My hearing not good. Lots of headaches.n nearly lost my leg with blood poisoning😕. Got over thst epidode and was slowly revoberinh from it. Then in 2015 May I had it again. This time it lasted only 3 - 4 months. After cat scans n visits to neurologist I have been put on permanent Antibiotics for live😕.
Look at above post. I had it twice n survived.😊
My husband was diagnosed with bacterial meningitis. SCARY. He was in his early forties at the time.
