I was taking activis brand of sertraline 150mg for a long time but the my chemist couldn't get it as they have merged with accord so was given that..it's been about 6 weeks and my stomach is awful, heartburn, gas, burping, flatulence, occasional diarrhoea , burning tongue, the list goes on. spoke to doc who said it was bonkers to think it could be the brand change. I have now been booked in for loads of tests to find the cause. Has anyone experienced a bad stomach after changing brands..cheers!!!
hey i get the same symptoms as you and had them on and off for around 5 years. all these symtoms just can be anxitey. A mix between IBS and acid reflux. what tests are you getting?
sorry for late reply..I’ve had loads of blood tests, kidneys, liver, anaemia, B12, celiac, Al fine. This problem started soon after the generic change, never before…there are so many forums about about different generics causing problems I can’t see what else it could be..cheers!
i have had heaps of bloods as well but always come back normal. something has triggered your anxiety to do with your symptoms and once it is in your head it is very difficult to get rid of those symptoms. i would try a completely different drug for anxiety see how that goes
thanks josh..i wish i could, my problem has always been bouts of depression but not anxiety, all I want to do is change the brand for now and see if symptoms improve but doc won’t do it or change my sertraline to another drug???I now have 2 months of this brand to take…don’t understand their problem really???
