Bad Back or PMR

Many thanks for all your comments on reducing from 10mg.Did i speak too soon, this morning i woke up with a bad back (do not normally get this at all) i would liken it to a kidney infection real dull ache at the base. I have been taking pain killers all day to no avail. Do you think i should see the Dr or up my dose, all advice gratefully received.

Hello Liz, if you are not suffering from a kidney infection, if you have not been over doing things, (sometimes it can be a couple of days before symptoms of over doing things display themselves) then see how you are tomorrow. If it's still bad then yes do go and visit the Dr, but this bad back may not be PMR / pred related so I personally won't up your dose. All the best, tina

hang on for  acouple of days  before you up the  pred .the pmr   pains are  like  the sea   they ebb and flo in all directions   here to day gone tommorrow   to another part of the body

I tell my doc.....everyday is trick or treat....I never know what's

going to hurt....but then I'm 78 yo and headed down the

"slippery slope" anyhow.......but don't blame every pain on PMR>

Have your doc check it out......
