Now, what I would like to know is why has this methotrexate not started helping me yet, I've been on it 14 weeks with increase from 7.5 to now 25 and my inflammatory markers still rising from 8 then 27 now 46.
Still very painful.
Surely I should be getting some relief by now. ?

How long have you been on the 25mg dose?
I started on 20mg and was increased to 25mg after 3 months with no improvement. This then meant that I wouldn't feel the effects of the increased dose for another 12 weeks after.
Also, injections are more effective than pills, not sure which one you are on but I found massive improvements with the injections.

I have only taken 2 weeks worth of 25 but the amount of time I've taken Mtx I thought i would have seen improvements with this increase.
I don't understand why it isn't working yet.
It's really upset my tummy as well
I've only had a couple of good days the last few months and I am getting fed up now.
Sorry to moan but once I start I can't seem to stop.
I just want to be able to walk without it feeling like my toes are broken and to pick things up without dropping things xxx
You're at the top dose and if it doesn't kick in within the next 4 weeks, I'd start hollering for a biologic.
That's my next plan. Have to get something sorted. Do you take the biological? I have read it really helps
