Bad period symptoms - not pain

I've been having periods for eight years but in the past three I've been reacting badly during them. In the first two days of having my period I am/get: - unable to stand for long - wobbly legs - right arm starts shaking - head goes foggy and slow - sensitive to noise - constantly going from too hot to too cold - difficulty swallowing as if I was wearing a t-shirt with a neckline that was too close to my throat for comfort - achy ankles - off food. prone to gagging - often vomiting the first night I get my period I also have abdominal pain and pain at the top of my legs but that's normally solved with a painkiller. My mum did some reading and wondered if it could be low iron but I got my bloods checked by the doctor while showing these symptoms and it came back fine, blood sugars ever so slightly low but nothing to worry about. The only suggestion the doctor gave was to try going on birth control but all the brands I could find contain lactose and being allergic to dairy, its not something I would want to risk. Does anyone have any ideas of what my problem could be or how to stop it? Honestly at this point I'd be happy enough if I could find someone who reacts the same way because all I'm finding is stuff about painful cramps when but while these do impact my life I'm not really in pain.

Hello. You’re not alone. My periods are on and off bad and just recently bad enough for me to go forum hopping again. This period I am experiencing left sided weakness, face tingling, wobbly legs, panic attacks (nausea, fight or flight, needing to use the bathroom). Sometimes insomnia but knock on wood that has not reared its head this time- I am just sleeping tons more than usual. I also get foggy, clumsy, mistake words and drop things more. I was doing really well and then my last 2 cycles have been hard.

Female cycle changes use a ton of hormones so I think both of us must have something off. The options are to get on SSRI medications (dropping hormones can lead to a drop in neurotransmitters like serotonin- changing the way our brains work!) I talked to my GP today and they also said I may consider the birth control to help regulate the hormones. Maybe SSRI could help? And definitely both of us need clean good diets and healthy lifestyles. I have to admit my diet has not been the cleanest as of late and I also got very craving-like before this cycle and gave in to some bad ones.

I hope we get better and more balanced <3 Peace and best wishes.
