Bakers cyst

Hi anyone had a bakers cyst mine is getting realy large and causing stiffness in knee and my leg swollen .

Hi,

Sorry, but thankfully I have not had a baker's cyst.

Looks painful.

I'm sure your doctor could sort it?

Best wishes & Take care,

Alan

talk to your Dr. I've never had one in the knee area but several people on this forum have had them and complained about the discomfort. I believe there are several ways of getting rid of them. I had one on my wrist years ago and as I recall, the Dr injected it with something and it was gone in a couple of weeks. Hurt like heck when I had it.

Hello jaqs

I too had a Bakers Cyst. I had an ultra sound when it was drained. I had a great deal of fluid and it was very close to bursting. I subsequently underwent and Arthroscopy, then within six months a TKR last July.

if there is anything you would like to ask me then please do

Mine was diagnosed when leg swole up a few months ago it wasn't visible then as was in my calf but now the size of a small orange and hurting like hell think I better go back to Dr as it has got a lot worse over last two weeks .

Where do you live? I live in London UK and my NHS GP was not interested at all. In fact he didn't even diagnose it. I pay for Private health insurance and had it done that way.

I agree that they are very uncomfortable and painful and unfortunately they normally come hand in glove with arthritis.

Hi

I live in Guildford gp is frustrating bu lt last time I went was nothing to see just in pain and swollen calf he did say if got any worse it may be drained so am going to ask him today as I work in fashion as a manager on feet all day plus I am getting embarrassed wearing dresses as it is so visible , but it is the pain and uncomfortable feeling in my leg like it it is pressing on my calf muscle again . It was diagnosed in A&E as mimicks a dvt . Hope your ok now my knee doesn't normally play up just as this is getting bigger
