Baking soda issues

I simply love my baking soda baths but I do get itchy afterward in my outer labia minora. Almost wherever there's pubic hair. Do any of you have any suggestions or have this problem?

I really want to continue with it. I've been looking at my genitals with some puzzlement. Up until about a month ago I didn't think I had any fusing but I've more recently been noticing an area on both sides that I'm suspicious is fused. I just didn't know if the inner lips extend back so far. I so rarely looked at myself down there. Anyway, now I'm quite certain I'm seeing release of skin!! But it's early on so I'm not positive. I really do want to continue the baking soda soaks after hearing Hannys amazing results. Or maybe my water is simply too hot. I do love hot bath. Thanks.

Have tried applying Aquaphor

Sandra I think it is important to look at yourself regularly with a hand mirror to avoid any shocks.  Maybe you could try salt water baths for a while, remember LS likes change.

I can't take hot water baths.  I'm not certain, but I don't think they are good for LS, maybe someone else knows for sure.

Indeed Guppy, not too hot.  I'm not doing so well in the summer heat either with my LS.  Hot baths generate heat after you step out of the bath.  Sandra, try to have the temperature of the water a little cooler.

I do check myself with a mirror frequently now. I rarely did before my diagnosis. Makes sense about the hot water.

My nurse didn't think salt water baths were a good idea??? But I've read it on this forum before.

It makes sense. I'm so sensitive to sweat. Of course a hot bath could be an issue.

This disease is so restrictive. My hot baths were a comfort to me when stressed.

Thanks everyone. I will try reducing the heat and maybe I will tolerate the soda baths better.

I apply coconut oil liberally after a baking soda bath and that really helps.  Also, if you aren't concerned with a little drowsiness or it is before bed time, try taking a Benadryl.
