Doctors need to listen to patients' symptoms. My stroke had no external visible signs but in my head I was walking like a drunk with leaden feet and scissoring movements. Three doctors failed to listen and I was told to go home and made to feel a nuisance.. Finally after 2 months of feeling really unwell, an MRI ( which I instigated and paid for) showed I had had a stroke. Four months later I had sudden episodes of poor balance, unsteady gait and sometimes collapse. Again these symptoms were disregarded by doctors until I arranged to see a specialist. The stroke had apparently triggered migraine which I have not suffered since my teens. I would be interested in anyone else's experience of migraine triggered by stroke. The headaches are not too bad but the ground rocks; my feet have pins and needles or are very weak. The attacks seem to occur weekly at the moment.
Yes that is the problem, There is no visibilities of it, So everyone presumes your fine, when all along you feel like a time bomb is about to explode inside, It's hard to explain how you feel, I feel like I want to scream if some body starts gabbling to me, I feel I have no patience, I hope when I have My MRI all is revealed

Thank you for your interest. Am pursuing treatment with specialist now
but I am still working on my letter of complaint! It needs to be well worded. A very frightening time!
My stroke happened when I was asleep and manifested itself with lack of balance and odd walking in my head, but it has not affected my ability to function reasonably. Because I look well and walk with an occasional lurch no-one has any idea of the drunken feeling that is in my head continuously and the general feeling that my brain is out of control. I also have surging feelings in my head at night about every 5 days which I think is the newlt triggered migraine. I think it takes several months to get the balance of drugs right.
Other symptoms with the feet and muscle pain I put down to statins.
I do hope you recover well.
